MIDIKEY2KEY

Hi,

got the device very cheap and asked me if I can use it like a shortcut keyboard for launching Windows Apps, Shortcuts.. But it won't show anything in log if I press keys or pads..

I choose Launchkey mini MK3 as Midi device, select Log To Window and press start..

Could the problem be that I'm already on Windows 11?

The Novation devices do not transmit MIDI on every Channel out of the box.
Check the manual for a system reset and a "normal" modus.
Connect a MIDI device that is able to generate sounds. Windows has a built-in general MIDI Synth.
Use Ableton or something else to check, what Your device is producing.
Use MIDI-OX to test the MIDI outputs of Your device.

Windows 11 should not be a problem.
MidiKey2Key should do any action You wish with the Novation Launch Key.
