React on 2nd value doesnt work

Post by r3djk »

Hi I am new to MidiKey2Key.

I am trying to use my launch pad to trigger keys, but can't seem to set it up properly.

I am using Launchpad Pro and when I use "React on 1st value" it triggers the key (e.g. Q) twice -> "QQ".
However, when I instead select "React on 2nd value" only nothing happens.

Not sure if I missed a step, sorry for being dumb.

Thanks.

What You Do in Your screenshot is not good. You let it react iy ton the second value. So a cintrol.chamge with this 2nd value would also trigger the action.

If You had read the FAQ, You would have been fine days ago.
Use both checkboxes and choose one event of the two Your device makes. If You do not understand why I am sorry. An minimum understanding how MIDI works is required.

Thank you for replying, I got it to work by checking both boxes and selecting the NoteOff event (e.g. Velo=0 (mute)).

It does NOT work (nothing happens) if check both boxes and select a NoteOn event (e.g. Velo=127), which is what you said to do in the FAQ:
